Itchy and scratchy

It’s the sun. I’m allergic to sunlight: get a bit of sunburn and prickly heat follows with a vengeance. So I have to keep out of the sun, like a vampire. Which is appropriate in a way because the cabin I had on our yacht, sailing round the Greek islands, was more like a coffin than a cabin. Climbing in brought the whole claustrophobia thing up to the surface. Claustrophobia and prickly heat, not a good combination.  I ended up sleeping on deck, so then I got bitten by various mosquitoes and other buzzing things. So prickly heat, claustrophobia AND insect bites.  They didn’t mention any of this in the brochure.

Still, the Aegean Sea is the best navy blue in the world, the dolphins were jumping, the tavernas were welcoming and good old Dove gave me a bit of colour.

And back home, there’s no sun,  the stinging insects are a little more restrained and my bed is cool clean and huge.
